Description

The Department of Education and Youth (DEY) is seeking research services from a suitably qualified contractor/s to support its work in policy planning in the area of School Workforce. The core research services required are secondary research in the form of a rapid literature review on international approaches to school workforce development and planning. The research will focus primarily on analysing international trends in schoolโ€™s workforce policy planning and practice. It is anticipated that a review of not less than 6 international jurisdictions will be included in the successful tender, with a particular focus on education systems that are high-performing and that articulate holistic and inclusive visions for education. The research will identify learning relevant to the development of the schoolโ€™s workforce in Ireland including workforce composition, recruitment and retention, deployment, regulation, initial and continuing professional education and collaborative cross-professional practice.
