DPC intends to procure for the design, construction, and commissioning of modern purposebuilt pilot boat(s) to join its existing fleet to support safe, efficient pilotage operations 24/7/365 in Irelands busiest port. Operating in Dublin Bay and the Irish Sea the boat(s) should be approximately 15.5m to 17.5m in length and capable of accommodating a crew of 2 and up to 6 pilots. The boat(s) shall deliver the highest standards of operational safety, reliability and crew protection with a design that is robust and fit for yearround offshore conditions. The boat(s) shall have a strong emphasis crew safety and safe pilot transfer through appropriate layout, access arrangements, fendering, and seakeeping performance. The design should incorporate modern, environmentally efficient technologies and principles, including consideration of fuel efficiency, emissions reduction and overall lifecycle sustainability. The boat(s) must comply with all applicable legislative and regulatory requirements, particularly the Irish Passenger Boat Regulations for a Class P5 vessel, as well as relevant classification society rules and marine safety standards.โ To promote responsible and sustainable supply chain www.dublinport.iepractices in line with industry best practice, DPC has partnered with Achilles, a leading global provider of supply chain risk management services. Achilles Supply Line has operated in Ireland for over 25 years and will be used as a qualification system for this competition.
