The Works comprise the construction of emergency independent living units along with staff and support facilities with all associated Mechanical and Electrical services installations and external works (totalling approximately 1400m2 gross internal area) on an overall site of approx. 0.14 hectares at 30 Clonard Street, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. The Works includes for the demolition of the single-storey garages fronting onto Clonard Street, the single and two-storey rear return extension elements of the existing house and the outbuilding in the rear garden; and the refurbishment, conversion and extension of the existing house (NB the existing house is a Protected Structure - RPS No. 0039) to provide for the proposed units, staff and support facilities that will act as crisis domestic violence accommodation. The house will be refurbished to provide entrance area and staff / support facilities. Single and two-storey extensions are proposed to the east and south of the house to accommodate the proposed emergency independent living units and various support spaces.
